It starts with 2 siblings, the Woods brothers to be precise. Jeffery and Liu Woods.
The brothers were only a year apart, Jeffery was 16 years of age when his brother was 17. Both were extremely close with each other, they told each other everything and went everywhere together. However, despite the closeness of the siblings, you might have wondered how they got along at all. Seeing as how their personalities where very different. Jeff was willing to take risks, he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty. He was rowdy, wild, a troublemaker. Despite this description of the boy he was a good child, he just got a little out of hand sometimes. Liu Woods, the eldest, was very different from his younger sibling. Liu was calm and mellow, very quiet. That's not to say he didn't joke around with his brother at all, or he didn't wrestle with him for the remote. In fact the two brothers rough housed a lot, Liu just was a bit more calm then Jeffery. The siblings looks were the opposite from their personalities, the Woods brothers were actually very similar looking. Both had brown hair (though Liu's was a bit darker than Jeffery's) and both were very pale skinned. Liu, who was taller than Jeffery by an inch or two, had striking, emerald green eyes. While Jeffery had shocking, crystal blue orbs, that seemed to stare into your soul when he looked at you. Jeff was sitting next to his older sibling on the couch in the living room of the second floor apartment the two called home. Both were "watching" TV, I say watching loosely because the TV was on but the boys seemed to have they're attention drawn elsewhere. Jeff was focused on the 3DS in his hand, trying to beat NPC's in 'Super Smash Bros'. And Liu was reading a book, so it was very rare that one of them looked up at the cartoon playing on the TV. All was quiet until the 'Game Over' theme played from the 3DS, and Jeff let out the breath he had been unconsciously holding. "Liu?" Jeff tried to get his brothers attention. "Hm." Was the older boy's reply. Jeff poked his brothers shoulder. "Liu." Nothing. Jeff decided he had to resort to desperate measures. Very carefully Jeff got off the couch, and snuck up behind his brother. Being very quiet Jeff leaned over, and snatched the book out of his older sibling's hands. "Oi!" Liu cried, reaching up to grab his book. "Then listen when I'm speaking to you." Jeff huffed. Liu rolled his eyes and turned his attention to Jeff, who was now sitting beside him again. "What's up?" Liu asked. Jeff sighed. "I think Mom and Dad are hiding something from us." Liu thought this over. There was a chance of this, both parents had been acting strangely for about a month now. Finally, Liu nodded in agreement. Jeff smiled, he liked being right. "I'm going to try and find out what's going on." He told his brother. Jeff got up and began heading for his parents room, but Liu grabbed his younger brother's shoulder and stopped him. "Leave it alone." Liu said. "They'll tell us when they want to." Jeff did as his brother said, he left the matter alone. And as his brother said, that night the boys parents purposed a question the dinner table. "So, what do you think about moving, boys." Margret Woods, the boys mother, asked. Jeff and Liu looked at each other, spaghetti dripping out of Jeff's mouth. Liu pointed at his brother and burst out laughing, causing his parents to laugh as well. Jeff cleaned up his face and smeared some pasta sauce on Liu, for payback. But then the boys looked at they're parents. "Like to another house?" Liu asked. "Or to another State?" Jeff finished. "To a town about 6 hours away, it's a nice neighborhood and the house is pretty big." Peter Woods explained to his sons. Liu and Jeffery looked at each other. "We're good." Jeff and Liu chorused. Peter and Margret were a bit surprised by they're sons calm and collective behavior, considering the situation. "Vry gare gee gooving?" Jeff asked, his mouth full of spaghetti. "Hold on I'm very fluent in 'Jeff' I should be able to translate." Liu laughed. "Please do." Margret said. "He says, 'why are we moving?'" Liu said, his brother punching his arm. "Your father got a promotion, and we've been saving up to buy a house." Margret answered. The boys shrugged and finished eating. Afterwards, Jeff headed to his room, that he shared with Liu. He looked around the walls of his room, they were a light gray with posters of video games, TV shows and movies covering them. Jeff honestly didn't care if he moved, he was never fond of the small apartment he lived in but he made he most of it. A month and a half, full of packing, passed. And finally the Woods family moved. When the car pulled into the driveway of the new house, Jeff got a sinking feeling in his stomach. It was almost as if he wasn't supposed to be there, as if something bad would happen if he stayed. Jeff shrugged it off, telling himself that he was just on edge and paranoid from the move. Jeff grabbed a box from the back of the Silver van his family owned, and went up to his room. He was a bit excited to have his own room, he had always shared a room with Liu. Not to say that sharing with his older brother was a bad thing, Jeff was just glad he didn't have to live in a cramped room any more. The younger Woods brother put the box he was carrying down, then flopped onto his bed. Jeff let out a long sigh as he relaxed, he was tired. Suddenly an excruciating pain shot through his head, causing Jeff to sit up. He took deep breaths, trying to make the pain subside. Then there was a knock on his wall. "Hey, Jeff you okay?" Liu asked. Jeff was about to answer, but instead, cried out in pain. All the color in Jeff's face, seemed to be drained from him. He began to see spots, he couldn't breathe correctly. Liu ran over to his younger sibling, yelling for his parents. "MOM! DAD! SOMETHINGS WRONG WITH JEFF!" Liu shouted, at the top of his lungs. By the time his parents got to him, Jeff had passed out. Jeffery was rushed to a hospital, his family having no clue what had caused his sudden illness. In the hospital, Jeff was hooked up to many monitors and many blood tests were taken. His family waited patiently, Liu being questioned by his mother multiple times. "I don't know what happened, he just fainted!" This was always Liu's answer, to his mother's relentless questions. Eventually a doctor addressed the family. "Mr. and Mrs. Woods?" The female doctor asked. "I'm Dr. Greens, I'm sorry to say your son has a disease. This disease hasn't been discovered yet, I honestly have never seen anything like it. He'll be fine he can go home after we take another blood test, but he will most likely need to rest. I won't be able to tell you what the symptoms are for another two weeks, so we will call you when we get this information. " Margret and Peter thanked the doctor. Liu felt a bit of weight be lifted off his shoulders. His brother was okay! About an hour later, Jeffery was released from the hospital. He had dark circles under his eyes, and his skin was completely white. He looked dead. The family went home, they ate dinner as usual. Except no one spoke, Jeff and Liu didn't joke around with each other, their parents cast worried glances at Jeff. After dinner everyone went to bed. Around 1:00 in the morning, Margret Woods awoke to the sound of one of her children crying. She walked towards the bathroom, her house dark and eerily quite except for the sound of crying. Was it Liu? Or maybe Jeff? Could it be both of them? Margret slowly opened the door to the bathroom, and the feeling of dread plummeted to her stomach. She nearly puked at the retched sight, blood coated and dripped from the sink. The sound of running water drifted to the mothers ears. She looked at the shower, there stood Jeffery. He was fully clothed and rinsing charcoal black hair, and blood seemed to flow down his body. "Jeffery?" Jeff turned the water off and turned towards his mother, Margret nearly screamed. His hair had turned black, he never blinked as though he had no eyelids, and a hideous bloody smile was carved into his face. "J-Jeffery, what did you do to yourself?!" Margret almost screamed at her son. Jeff laughed a bit. "Do you like it mommy? I burned my eyelids off because I didn't want to sleep, but my hair caught on fire so it turned black. And I couldn't keep smiling so I carved one into my face." Jeff looked towards his mother. "Are you okay Mommy? You look scared." Margret nodded, this wasn't her son. This wasn't her Jeffery. "Oh honey, you l-look wonderful. Let me go wake your father." Before Jeff could answer Margret took off to her room, and began shaking her husband awake. "Peter! Peter! Wake up! Get the shotgun, we h-" "Mommy, you lied to me." Jeffery stood in the doorway of his parents room, bloody knife in hand. He laughed. Oh that laugh, it chilled both his parents to the bone. Jeff rushed at his parents. It happened so fast that neither one of them had time to scream, before they even could move they were dead. Liu woke up to what sounded like lead hitting the floor, he figured Jeff had fallen out of bed. So he got up to go help his brother back into bed. He walked into the dark hallway, towards Jeffery's room. He quietly opened the door, as to not wake anyone else. "Jeff?" He whispered. Liu walked toward the bed, and the door slammed behind him. "Don't worry Liu, it's nap time. Just close your eyes and. . .Go. To. Sleep!" * * * The Wood's family was found, slaughtered a few days later. The youngest son, Jeffery Woods, was nowhere to be found. And they still haven't found him.
